Weekend colors

On Friday, I had afternoon champagne tea with Ms. Teri at the Chado Tea Room at the Japanese American National Museum. I'm so glad I bought a few of those Groupon and LivingSocial deals while I was "rich"! It allows a girl of newly slender means to have a little bit of luxury every so often.

Afterwards, we walked to Raggedy Threads, a vintage store in the Arts District. The store is moving to somewhere in Little Tokyo, so they're having a big big moving sale (details on the sale here0. I gave in and picked up a few scarves at five bucks a pop.

The following day, Sew L.A. had a fabric sample sale. I scoped out this piece ahead of time online. It's "Beach Stripe" by Alexander Henry.
I was thinking about making a full skirt with it, but after staring at it for a while, I wonder if it'll be better off as a jacket lining? It is quite a strong print. The boy suggested that I make a dress out of it as it'll be impossible to find a top to match it. Thoughts?

I didn't take my camera, but I also went to the L.A. Auto Show. For those of you who are interested in making me exceedingly happy on Christmas morning, please get me a Rolls Royce Phantom...

With a white leather interior and honey wood inlay. And a driver, because that Rolls isn't going to drive itself.

And as these are recessionary times, I understand if you're not able to drop several hundred thousand dollars on me for Christmas. So here's an option for those who can only spare a couple tens of thousands of dollars on me: This Lotus Exiege, which should keep you under $100,000.

A word of advice: Get all your Fords, Toyotas and Hyundais over with before going to the Lotus/Porsch/Aston Martin/Rolls Royce showrooms. Because you'll end up sitting in a Camaro and just be disappointed.
