The boyfriend was up in Seattle and brought down a gorgeous calendar of watercolors by the duo Atherton Lin. They've sold out of the paper calendars, but they'll be posting desktop wallpaper versions of the calendar each month. Given that my ability to knit words effectively has all but disappeared, here's their description of the calendar in their words:
Geographies real and imagined, collections of small intrigue and landscapes of longing combine to tell stories of travel and wanderlust. ACROSS THE SEA is the new installment of the Atherton Lin narrative, a wall calendar for the year 2011 and a journey of high adventure and perpetual adolescence.
